The Sokkia Stratus is a single-frequency (L1) GPS survey receiver that packs the antenna, 12-channel receiver, memory and batteries into one sealed, buoyant housing that threads straight onto a standard 5/8-inch tripod or pole mount. It's built for post-processed static and kinematic control and boundary work: log C/A code and full-wavelength carrier-phase observations in the field, then compute centimeter-level positions in Sokkia's Spectrum Survey software — down to 5 mm + 1 ppm horizontal in static mode. Single-button operation with LED gauges for battery, memory and tracked satellites keeps training short, and a pair of BDC46 Li-ion batteries runs the receiver for up to 30 hours.
