Key specifications
The Radiodetection RD8200 is a precision multifunction cable and pipe locator used to trace the position and path of buried utilities, pinpoint cable-sheath and pipe-coating faults, and build survey records of underground infrastructure. The receiver covers 21 active locate frequencies (98 Hz to 200 kHz) plus Power, Radio, CPS and CATV passive modes, and offers five locating modes — Peak, Peak+, Guidance, Broad Peak and Null. Depth and signal current are displayed simultaneously to a stated locate accuracy of ±5% of depth, with a maximum depth readout of 30 m (98 ft) on a line and 19.5 m (64 ft) on a sonde. Dynamic Overload Protection, a StrikeAlert shallow-depth warning and Current Direction support locating near substations, mains power and congested utility corridors. The IP65 receiver runs on 2 × D-cell alkaline or a rechargeable Li-Ion pack and includes Bluetooth for survey-data export and iLOC transmitter control.
This listing pairs the RD8200 receiver with the Radiodetection Tx-10 signal transmitter — the 10-watt model in the Tx range. The Tx-10 delivers up to 10 W output (90 V and 0.5 A maximum) across induction, direct-connection and clamp application modes, and adds Current Direction and Fault-Find (8 kHz and CDFF) signalling that drive the receiver's utility-discrimination and fault-location functions. It also supports iLOC remote control. Batteries, leads, clamps, case and any other accessories are as shown in the photographs.
