The Red Lion CSMSTRSX is the enhanced master for the Modular Controller Series, a DIN-rail automation platform built for multi-zone PID control and data-acquisition work. It coordinates up to 16 slave modules over a high-speed backplane, powering each one, addressing it automatically at start-up, and reprogramming replacement modules from stored configurations. Two RS-232 ports, an RS-422/485 port, and 10/100 Ethernet tie the system into PLCs, PCs, and SCADA hosts through Red Lion’s extensive protocol driver library, while the built-in data logger writes process data to CompactFlash as CSV files and the onboard web server publishes a QVGA virtual HMI to any networked PC.
