The Phoenix Contact FL COMSERVER PRO 232/422/485 is a second-generation serial device server that bridges a V.24 (RS-232), RS-422, or RS-485 serial interface onto a 10/100Base-T(X) Ethernet network in accordance with IEEE 802.3. Serial transmission speeds run from 0.3 kbps up to 230.4 kbps on the RS-232 port and up to 1000 kbps on RS-422/RS-485, with connections made via a D-SUB 9 plug (RS-232) or a pluggable COMBICON screw terminal block (RS-422/RS-485) and a single shielded RJ45 socket on the Ethernet side. The unit runs from a 19.2–28.8 V AC/DC supply, carries an IP20 rating for an ambient operating range of –25°C to 60°C, and mounts on a standard DIN rail in a 22.5 × 99 × 116 mm housing.
