This is the rear field-wiring back panel for an Omni Flow Computers OMNI 6000 flow computer, the screw-terminal termination assembly that carries process I/O signal and power connections through to the OMNI 6000 mainframe's I/O module slots. The OMNI 6000 platform it serves accepts up to six field I/O (Combo) modules for as many as 24 analog & pulse inputs, two 12-channel digital I/O modules (24 points total), and up to three communications modules (RS-232/485 or Ethernet), and is powered from 90–264 Vac (47–440 Hz) or 22–26 Vdc supply. Systems built on this platform are used for custody-transfer and fiscal gas and liquid flow measurement, running API, AGA, and ISO flow calculations on meter runs across oil & gas production, pipeline, and terminal metering applications.

The 6000 designation identifies the larger-capacity chassis in Omni's 3000/6000 flow computer family, sized for up to four meter-run applications, as distinct from the 2-module OMNI 3000 used for single or dual meter-run duty. This back panel is the field-termination interface for that chassis, supplied either mounted directly behind the OMNI 6000 in its panel-mount configuration or as a remote extended back panel connected to the mainframe by ribbon cable (available in 5, 10, and 15 ft lengths).
