NEW Toshiba TE2-112-BP Series Solid State Starter

The Toshiba TE2 Series is a digitally programmable, reduced-voltage solid state starter that brings three-phase induction motors up to speed without the inrush current and driveline shock of across-the-line starting. Its six-SCR power section runs a voltage/current ramp with an anti-oscillation circuit for smooth acceleration, and Pump-Flex deceleration control eases pumps to a stop so check valves close gently.

The TE2-112-BP is the 56-112 A bypass frame, applied on motors from roughly 30 to 100 HP across 208-575 V AC — this unit is listed for 75 HP at 460 V. The -BP designation means an integral bypass contactor is fitted, and because the starter itself controls that contactor, its solid-state electronic overload keeps protecting the motor with no separate overload relay required. Control is via 120 V AC control power and dry-contact start/stop inputs, with a programming keypad and diagnostic LEDs on the open-chassis unit.
