The Metrix ST5484E is a loop-powered seismic vibration transmitter that builds a piezoelectric accelerometer, signal integrator, RMS detector, and 4-20 mA signal conditioner into one compact stainless-steel sensor. Mounted directly on a machine case or bearing housing, it converts casing vibration into a velocity-proportional 4-20 mA signal that PLCs, DCSs, and SCADA systems can trend and alarm on, letting plants monitor rotating machinery with rolling-element bearings (120 to 6,000 rpm) without a separate monitor rack or external signal conditioning.
