The Badger Meter ModMAG M2000 is a full-bore inline electromagnetic flow meter that measures water, wastewater, water-based fluids and other liquids meeting minimum electrical conductivity. Based on Faraday's law of induction, it uses a pulsed DC magnetic field with no moving parts in the flow stream, so there is no pressure loss and accuracy is not affected by fluid temperature, pressure, viscosity or density.

The meter combines a flow detector with a processor-based transmitter featuring signal conversion accuracy of ±0.20% of reading ±1 mm/s, a backlit 4-line by 20-character LCD, four programmable digital outputs, empty pipe detection, power-loss totalization and a 32-bit DSP. It operates on 85–265 V AC or optional 10–36 V DC power and is housed in a NEMA 4X (IP67) enclosure with a rotating cover. Standard communication is RS232 Modbus RTU, with HART, Profibus DP and other protocols available on separate daughterboards.

Per the listing, this unit is configured with 150 mm (DN150, 6 in.) ANSI Class 150 flanges. The M2000 carries NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and 372 listing and CSA certification.
