Fujikura FSM-18S Arc Fusion Splicer

The Fujikura FSM-18S is a fixed V-groove, single-fiber arc fusion splicer built for field crews who need dependable splices without the cost of a core-alignment machine. It handles standard single-mode (G.652/G.657), multimode (G.651), dispersion-shifted (G.653) and non-zero dispersion-shifted (G.655) fibers, with typical splice loss of 0.05 dB on single-mode and a splice cycle of around 11 seconds in AUTO mode. Automatic arc calibration, an auto-start tube heater and user-selectable fiber clamping (sheath clamp or fiber holders) keep throughput high, while the shock-, dust- and moisture-resistant chassis and 15 m/s wind rating make it a practical choice for FTTx, LAN and outside-plant splicing.
