The Fisher FIELDVUE DVC6200 is a HART-communicating, microprocessor-based digital valve controller (valve positioner) that converts a 4-20 mA control signal into a regulated pneumatic output to stroke the actuator of a process control valve. It uses a linkage-less, non-contact travel feedback system for position sensing, accepts a two-wire 4-20 mA input in point-to-point mode (4.0 mA minimum), and communicates over the HART protocol for setup, calibration, and valve diagnostics. Rated for supply pressures up to 10.0 bar (145 psig) and ambient temperatures of -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F), it is deployed on pneumatic control valves throughout oil and gas, refining, chemical, and power-generation service.
As listed, this is the AD (Advanced Diagnostics) instrument level on HW2 (Hardware revision 2) hardware, configured for point-to-point (PT-PT) 4-20 mA HART operation. It is fitted with a Relay C — the single-acting, direct pneumatic relay — for use with single-acting, spring-return actuators.
