The ProSoft PLX31-MBTCP-MBS4 is a stand-alone industrial gateway that moves data in both directions between Modbus TCP/IP-enabled controllers and Modbus serial field devices. Its four serial ports are individually configurable for RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 and speak Modbus RTU or ASCII, letting a single unit consolidate up to 400 serial devices, while the 10/100 Ethernet side supports up to 20 simultaneous client and server connections for PACs, HMIs, SCADA systems, power monitors and flow computers. An internal database of up to 10,000 16-bit registers, up to 160 configurable client commands and up to 100 commands per serial Master port leave room for large data maps.

Commissioning aids include an SD card slot (card optional) that stores the configuration file for disaster recovery, and the ProSoft Discovery Service utility, which finds the gateway and assigns its IP address without subnet changes. This listing is for a factory-sealed, 2025-dated unit.
