The Maple Systems HMI5070TH is a 7.0-inch TFT color graphic operator interface terminal (OIT) with an 800 × 480 pixel display, 65,536 (16-bit) colors, and a 4-wire analog resistive touchscreen. It runs on a 32-bit RISC CPU at 400 MHz with 128 MB of Flash memory and 64 MB of DRAM, and includes a built-in 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port, three serial ports (Com1 RS-232/RS-485, Com2 RS-232, Com3 RS-232/RS-485), a USB host port, a USB client port, and an SD card slot. Networking support covers Modbus TCP/IP and Allen-Bradley EtherNet/IP, with up to four communication protocols running simultaneously – suited to panel-mount operator interface duty on PLC-controlled machinery, packaging equipment, and process skids. The unit is powered by 24VDC at 250mA, is rated IP65, NEMA4, and NEMA4X for indoor use, and operates across 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F).

The HMI5070TH designation identifies the widescreen (16:9), Ethernet-equipped 7-inch model within Maple Systems' legacy HMI5000 Graphic HMI series – built into the same outer dimensions and panel cut-out as a standard 5.7-inch unit, but with 35% more screen area and roughly five times the pixel density.
