The Cisco CVR-QSFP-SFP10G is a QSFP to SFP or SFP+ Adapter (QSA) Module – a hot-swappable converter that plugs into a 40 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP+ port and presents a single SFP/SFP+ cage, letting that port run at 10 Gigabit Ethernet or 1 Gigabit Ethernet instead of 40G. Per Cisco's data sheet, it supports the full range of SFP+ optics and cables – including SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR, SFP-10G-ER, SFP-10G-ZR, DWDM-SFP10G, FET-10G, and 10G SFP+ copper & active-optical cables from 1–10 m – plus select 1GbE SFP modules such as GLC-T and the GLC-SX/LH/EX/ZX family (1GbE optics run over the QSA without autonegotiation).
