The Cisco Catalyst WS-C3750X-12S-E is a 1RU stackable Layer 3 switch from the Catalyst 3750-X series, providing 12 Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports for 1G fiber or copper aggregation and access. The "-E" suffix denotes Cisco's IP Services feature set, which enables full dynamic routing — OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IS-IS, PIM and IPv6 — alongside a 35.7 Mpps forwarding rate and 160 Gbps switching capacity. The platform supports Cisco StackWise Plus, joining up to nine switches into a single logical unit with 64 Gbps of stack throughput, and Cisco StackPower for shared power across stack members. Hardware-based MACsec encryption, dual redundant modular power-supply bays, and an optional GE or 10GE uplink network-module slot round out a switch built for enterprise campus distribution and access layers where SFP fiber density and Layer 3 routing are required.
